Safeguarding & Welfare

We believe Gymnastics should be fun, and that everyone should feel safe and enjoy the sport of gymnastics.
Your child is in safe hands at J’amies Gymnastics Academy.

We have a clear commitment to child welfare and the safeguarding of our students is of the highest priority.

We require our coaches to have an Enhanced Clearance via the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, formerly Criminal Records Bureau or CRB), Safeguarding  Training, First Aid and the appropriate teaching qualification to teach.

Every JGA Team Leader is in regular contact with a dedicated child protection team.

We perform regular checks to ensure that our academies and staff are operating at the highest level of child welfare standards. All necessary insurance, fire safety and first aid protocols are established within every JGA Academy.

We have two welfare officers at JGA, their names are Jade and Dawn. If you have any welfare worries or concerns please contact our welfare team at and this will be sent directly to them.  You can view our Club Policies here

"I highly recommend J'amies gymnastics academy"

"...its fun and affordable. The staff are helpful, friendly and always helping the children achieve their goals. My daughter Elle started when she was 10 years old, her confidence has grown, made new friends, she is always learning, achieving new moves and there are always opportunities where children can get certificates and medals showing their achievements. This year my daughter took part of their annual competition. It was a brilliant day and she came 4th."

"My daughter loves her J'amies Gymnastic classes each week."

"She has made really good progress and the coaches take pride in developing the children. Roisin in particular is a always willing to take the time to ensure the classes are both enjoyable and worthwhile and provides good feedback to the parents."

“My boys have been attending Jamie's now for 18months"

"...and absolutely love it. My youngest boy started when he was just 18months and has come so far. We have attended 3 different classes in total simply down to our family timetable changing. I am happy to say we have received the same excellent standard of teaching in all 3 classes. My boys love going to class and have built lovely relationships with there teachers. Jamie's team do a fantastic job from the admin staff to the teachers on the floor. A big thank you from Tobi & Tim”
